2. The course record belongs to Zack Johnson. On September 15 in 2007, at the Tour Championship, the two-time major winner played the course at 10 under par for a round of 60.

3. East Lake Golf Club hosted the 1963 Ryder Cup when led by the playing captain Aarnold Palmer the Americans won the cup. This was the last time we've seen a playing captain at the Ryder Cup

5. The original clubhouse at East Lake was destroyed in 1925 by a fire. The current clubhouse was built by architect Philip Shutze.
