Scottish extra class: The best pictures from the first day of the Scottish Open

For the 50th anniversary of the Scottish Open, a top field of participants awaits the players and fans in Scotland. Fourteen of the top 15 players in the world rankings will tee it up at the Renaissance Club and compete for eight million US dollars in prize money. For the first time, the DP World Tour and PGA Tour will co-host the tournament and distribute full points for their respective season rankings. Therefore, the field of participants will consist of equal numbers of players from the respective tours.
