Richard Bland shots -7 (65) to lead the Cazoo Classic after round 1

The Englishman Richard Bland is at T1 after signing a scorecard of -7 (65) in the opening round of the Cazoo Classic at The London Golf Club. He had a bogey-free round, registering 11 pars and 7 birdies total. This result gives him a little gap of only 1 shot from the second position.

Jordan Smith and Dale Whitnell finished their last hole with a total of -6 (66) to find themselves tied in T2 position. Smith registered 6 birdies in his opening round, while Whitnell had only 1 bogey and 7 birdies.

Scottishman David Drysdale completed the round at -4 (68) to find himself in T9 position, and only 3 shots off the leader. Drysdale noted 5 birdies in his opening round.

Robert Rock was -3 (69) after the opening round, which left him at T20 on the leaderboard. Toby Tree and Ashley Chesters, from England carded a opening round of -2 (69) to find themselves in T20 position, 5 shots from the leader.Tree registered 6 birdies in his opening round, and Chesters went for 2 bogeys and 2 bidies. However he managed for an eagle on hole 15, one of the par 5 at The London Golf Club.
