1. Grant Forrest won his maiden European Tour title on his 77th attempt. The Scot has won more than €1,100,000.00 from his European Tour career so far.
2. With his win at the Hero Open at Fairmont St Andrews Grant Forrest became the first Scottish player to win on home soil since 2012. Paul Lawrie was the last man to do this when he won the 2012 Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles.

3. Grant Forrest's girlfriend Christy Farrell works as a nurse at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. During the first months of the COVID-19 Pandemic the couple was not able to see each other for weeks due to Christy’s duties in the hospital.

4. With his win at the Hero Open Grant Forrest became the 26th player from Scotland to win on the European Tour.
