Bernhard Langer shares fond memories of playing the PNC Championship with his son and why the event means so much to him.

Bernhard Langer vividly recalls his first appearance at the PNC Championship. Back then, his son was still in high school—young, ambitious, and suddenly among the greats. “We had a blast,” Langer says today. “At the time, he had to compete against pro teams—hitting drives and then aiming for the green with an 8-iron, even though he was three over par.” It wasn’t about the score, though. “It was just a wonderful time.” That experience marked the beginning of a cherished tradition. “I loved this tournament from the moment I was invited.”

Among Major Champions and Legends

The PNC Championship brings together golfers who have made history. For Bernhard Langer, that’s part of the magic. “Being out there with other Major champions and legends of the game is something special,” he says.
