Bernhard Langer shares his memories of the PNC Championship and what makes playing with his son so special.
Bernhard Langer vividly remembers his first appearance at the PNC Championship. Back then, his son was still in high school—young, ambitious, and surrounded by golf’s elite. “We had a blast,” Langer recalls. “At the time, he had to compete against professional teams—hitting drives and then aiming for the green with an 8-iron, even though he was three over par.” It wasn’t about the score, though. “It was just a wonderful time.” That debut marked the beginning of a cherished tradition. “I loved this tournament from the moment I was invited.”
