Golf fans in Germany will have a new home for live coverage starting in 2026. Telekom has secured exclusive broadcasting rights for the PGA Tour, DP World Tour, and Champions Tour through its platform Magenta TV. The deal runs through 2029 and includes 131 tournaments in the first year alone. Additionally, Magenta TV will air the Ryder Cup in 2027 and 2029. However, Sky will retain the rights to all men’s and women’s Major Championships.
300 Days of Live Golf on Magenta TV
The new rights package includes approximately 300 days of live golf annually across two new dedicated channels: MS Golf 1 and MS Golf 2, launching in January 2026. MS Golf 1 will broadcast full tournament coverage, while MS Golf 2 will feature highlights, player features, and historical content. On-demand options will also be available. The first broadcasts will begin on January 15 with the Sony Open in Hawaii and the Dubai Invitational. The service will be included at no extra cost for all Magenta TV and MagentaSport subscribers.
“Golf has found a new home on MagentaTV. With this package, we’re offering Germany’s most comprehensive live golf coverage ever. From the first tee shot to the final putt, we’ll present every tournament like never before—live, informative, and in a modern format,” said Arnim Butzen, Head of TV at Telekom.

Sky Retains Major Championships
Despite losing a large portion of its golf portfolio, Sky will continue to broadcast all Major Championships in the coming years. This includes the four men’s Majors and the five women’s Majors, as well as the Solheim Cup. These events remain among the most prestigious in the sport, ensuring Sky retains a significant share of top-tier golf content.
To follow weekly tournaments and the biggest events in golf, fans will need subscriptions to both Magenta TV and Sky.
