Starting January 2026, Magenta TV will broadcast PGA, DP World, and Champions Tour events. Majors remain with Sky.
Golf fans in Germany will have a new destination for live coverage starting in 2026. Telekom has secured the broadcast rights for the PGA Tour, DP World Tour, and Champions Tour through its platform Magenta TV. The agreement runs through 2029 and includes 131 tournaments in the first year alone. Additionally, Magenta TV will air the Ryder Cup in 2027 and 2029. However, Sky will retain the rights to all men’s and women’s Major Championships.
300 Days of Live Golf on Magenta TV
The new rights package includes around 300 days of live golf annually across two new dedicated channels: MS Golf 1 and MS Golf 2. These channels will launch on Magenta TV in January 2026. MS Golf 1 will feature full-length tournament broadcasts, while MS Golf 2 will offer additional content such as player features, current stories, and historical highlights. On-demand content will also be available. Coverage kicks off on January 15 with the Sony Open in Hawaii and the Dubai Invitational. The programming will be included at no extra cost for all Magenta TV and MagentaSport subscribers.
“Golf has found a new home on Magenta TV. With this package, we offer the most comprehensive golf live coverage ever seen in Germany,” said Arnim Butzen, Telekom’s Head of TV. “From the first tee shots to the final putts, we’ll show every tournament like never before—live, informative, and in a modern format. This package is designed for both seasoned golf fans and younger viewers discovering the sport.”

Sky Retains Major Championships
Despite losing a significant portion of the golf calendar, Sky will continue to broadcast all Major Championships in the coming years. This includes the most prestigious events in golf, alongside the Ryder Cup. Sky will also retain rights to the Solheim Cup and all five women’s Majors, ensuring continued access to the top-tier tournaments in both men’s and women’s golf.
Golf enthusiasts who want full access to weekly live tournaments and the Majors will need subscriptions to both Magenta TV and Sky going forward.
