Starting January 2026, Magenta TV will broadcast PGA, DP World, and Champions Tour events. Majors remain on Sky.

Golf fans in Germany will have a new home for live coverage starting January 2026. Telekom has secured the broadcasting rights for the PGA Tour, DP World Tour, and Champions Tour through its platform Magenta TV. The deal runs through 2029 and includes 131 tournaments in the first year alone. Additionally, Magenta TV will air the Ryder Cup in 2027 and 2029. However, the Major Championships for both men and women will continue to be shown on Sky.

300 Days of Live Golf on Magenta TV

The new rights package includes approximately 300 days of live golf annually across two new dedicated golf channels: MS Golf 1 and MS Golf 2. These channels will launch on Magenta TV in January 2026. MS Golf 1 will offer full-length tournament broadcasts, while MS Golf 2 will feature additional content such as player features, stories, and historical highlights. On-demand content will also be available. Coverage kicks off on January 15 with the Sony Open in Hawaii and the Dubai Invitational. The golf package will be included at no extra cost for all Magenta TV and MagentaSport subscribers.

“Golf has a new home on MagentaTV. With this package, we’re offering Germany’s most comprehensive live golf coverage ever. From the first tee shot to the final putt, we’ll show every tournament like never before—live, informative, and with a modern storytelling approach,” said Arnim Butzen, Telekom’s Head of TV.

Sky Retains the Majors

Sky hasn’t lost all its golf rights. It will continue to broadcast all Major Championships in the coming years, including the Solheim Cup and all five women’s majors. These events, alongside the Ryder Cup, remain some of the most prestigious in the sport. As a result, fans who want to follow both weekly tour events and major tournaments will need subscriptions to both Magenta TV and Sky.
