Over 325 tonnes of sand applied as part of extensive maintenance on the Heritage Course at London Golf Club.

The Greenkeeping team at London Golf Club has recently completed a significant maintenance programme on the Heritage Course. The effort involved applying more than 325 tonnes of sand across various areas to enhance recovery and ensure long-term playability.

Comprehensive Work Across the Course

On the greens, the team performed hollow coring, scarifying, aeration, topdressing, and rolling, using 90 tonnes of sand. These areas have already received their first cut and will continue to be refined in the coming weeks.

Tees and approaches underwent deep scarification, aeration, and topdressing, with over 130 tonnes of sand applied. Meanwhile, fairways received targeted topdressing in wet areas, amounting to 105 tonnes of sand.

Drainage and Seasonal Preparations

In addition to surface treatments, over 1,200 metres of new drainage were installed on holes 8, 10, and 16. The long rough on both courses was also cut back in anticipation of the cooler months ahead.
