After day 1, the score was 6-4 in favour of South Africa. Day 2, with a foursomes format, saw South Africa maintain a considerable lead over Europe finishing 11-5. However, on Day 3, in a stunning comeback, Europe took it back in singles match-play, winning by half a point!
