Stockport Golf Club Celebrates Winning Scores on a Sunny Day

A hundred entries braved the cold sunny day at Stockport Golf Club, with outstanding performances.

The Course was in excellent condition as was reflected in the scoring. The Worthy Winner was the Immediate Past Captain Mark Johnson with an outstanding score. Receiving only 6 shots he scored 40 points, which was 4 under par for the 15 holes.

Mark made a humorous speech including his favourite word MARVELLOUS. He has waited 2 years for the Cream to once more rise to the top.

Runner-Ups at the Event

He invited everyone to join him for a drink and the Winner was duly toasted by all. In second place was James Fagan with a 19 handicap scoring 35 points, and in Third place was Steve Townend with a 2 handicap scoring 34 points.
