Bridgend Golf Club: A Deep Dive on the Challenging Hole 6
07/11/2024
⛳️ COURSE TOUR - HOLE 6 ⛳️
Hole 6️⃣ | Par 3 | 175 yards | S.I. 3
Following a solid par on 5 we arrive at the 6th tee.
This is a long par 3 which plays even longer given its uphill nature. The fairway has a slight dogleg and large trees protect the right half of the green.
A lone bunker provides a green side challenge, but for those not reaching the green in a single shot it can be used as a good alignment aid for laying up towards the left. That’s the option you choose.
A well struck fairway wood leaves you just short and left of the putting surface.
You notice the green slopes from back to front and as a result you give the pitch a little more distance…20 feet left.
The next shot is gently downhill and proves faster than you expected, knocking it 6ft past. Whoops!
You recompose yourself, stick to your routine and sink the tricky comeback putt. Phew…on to the 7th.
