⛳️ Club Captain’s Day - Saturday 20 July 2024 ⛳️
Club Captain, Mick Seal would like to extend a huge thank you to all the players who braved some challenging conditions to participate in the event last Saturday.
It would have been easy to sit it out, but he was thrilled to see so many take part. Despite the tough weather, the scores were impressive:
1st place with a nett 54:

2nd place with a nett 55:
Nick Gregg David Henry David Evans Sarah Phillips
3rd place with the best nett 55:

Special awards went to:
Nell Allen: Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin (Ladies) Ian Draisey: Nearest the Pin on the 17th Yellow Tee Paul Jenkins: Nearest the Pin on the 12th White Tee Gareth Rees: Longest Drive on the 16th Yellow Tee Chris Stevens: Longest Drive on the 7th White Tee
The Captains team finished a commendable 4th place with a nett score of 56.
In the evening, 90 members and guests enjoyed a BBQ and some light entertainment.
There are a few key people to thank;
Brian Jones and his wife Gilly for their support. Brendon for his outstanding contribution on the day. Duncan the Chef for the excellent food. All the restaurant staff, office team, and Greenkeepers for their help. A special thank you to Mick’s wife Theresa for her unwavering support and for serving players from the tent on the 10th.
The event successfully raised over £1,200 for Club’s charity this year, the Alzheimer’s Forget Me Not Appeal.
