Hole 5️⃣ | Par 3 | 92 yards | S.I. 9
We reach the middle hole of the course - number 5.
This is a very short par 3. On paper it’s a good opportunity for scoring with it being the ‘easiest hole’ according to the stroke index. However, it’s not as simple as the yardage suggests.
There is a large pond located half way between the teeing area and green that is waiting for any poorly struck short iron shots.
The green is also tricky. As well as it being flanked by a bunker on each side, the putting surface is contoured like an upturned saucer and will repel any wayward approach shots.
You select your wedge and choose a three quarter swing to control the ball in the slight breeze. Middle of the green - nice!
A well read approach putt shaves the edge of the hole but gives you an easy tap in for par. On to Hole 6…
