Keighley Business Lunch Reconnects Local Businesses at Keighley Golf Club

We have been a little quiet on our social media sites lately due to being very busy here at KGC.

First off, a Huge thanks to everyone who has booked an event / function / golfing visiting party with us over the past few months. Thank you.

Yesterday, AWBC helped to relaunch Keighley Business Lunch bringing together Keighley’s movers and shakers.

80 guests from across the town met for the first time since Covid, at the stunning Keighley Golf Club.

Acorn Stairlifts UK, Timothy Taylors and Woolers were some of the big firms attending. Whilst Distant Future Animation Studio, PoundFun™ toys and ViDrate hydration reflected smaller, creative companies that are blossoming locally.

In addition, a selection of speakers gave short talks on ‘What’s Going On In Keighley?’ The Keighley Masterplan was presented by Michelle Rushworth from Bradford Council and Rhian Davitt-Jones of CBRE, and Steve Seymour talked about the plans for the Airedale Shopping Centre after its recent sale. Gemma Hobbs discussed Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture, and Steve Burles ran through the categories in the Keighley & Airedale Business Awards. A final shout-out went to Lee Bilbrough of Pure Property Lettings who’s raising money for #Manorlands this weekend by walking Coast to Coast in the backend of a pantomime pony!

Keighley Business Lunch is run by three local companies: AWB Charlesworth, Stirk Lambert & Co Chartered Accountants and Hayfield Robinson. The lunches will be run twice yearly, with the next event taking place in November.

Umberto Vietri of AWB Charlesworth said: “There’s a lot going on in Keighley. The Keighley Business Lunch is a good way of sharing news, and creating a positive business environment in the town. With 4,611 active companies listed at Companies House for the Keighley area, there is a huge business community out there, doing innovative, interesting things. And with the robotics and engineering college set to go ahead, and Mass Transit West Yorkshire Phase 1 just launched, it really is exciting times.”

AWB Charlesworth would like to thank Keighley Golf Club for all their help in putting this event together, particularly Emma Lockhart, Events Manager.
