120 players took part in our Men’s and Ladies Club Championships over the weekend.
Congratulations to Nick Brown who once again took the title of Men’s Club Champion and was the winner of the Johnson Cup with scores of 67 & 73 gross for an aggregate score of 140 (level par). Jon Exon-Taylor was 2nd with 69 & 72 (141) and Will Gibb 3rd with 73 & 71 (144).
Our Ladies Club Champion and winner of the Peg Town Cup was Rosie Jenner with scores of 82 and 83 gross for an aggregate score of 165. Jean Parsons was runner up with 89 & 82 (171).
The Ladies Hamer Bowl for best net score was won by Junko Wates. Leslie Hill-Smith was the runner up.
Nick Brown also won the Men’s 0-9 handicap category and Michael Blackman Memorial Trophy. Runner up was Brian Stewart.
The Men’s 10-24 handicap prize the Leepring Trophy was won by Phil Edwards. Runner up was Adrian Rigby.

Thank you to Jack Sims and the greenkeeping staff who presented the course in fantastic condition, the pro shop staff for running the event and providing players with a great ‘tournament’ experience and to Jacqui in the halfway house and the club bar staff for hosting everyone across the weekend.
