Paul Kavanagh Triumphs at Courtown Golf Club's Captain’s Prize

The final day for Captain Gerry McGrath’s prize took place on Saturday with the qualifiers from the opening week end taking to the pristine Courtown fairways to try and shoot the winning score to lift the coveted Captains prize in Courtown GC. Paul Kavanagh was the eventual winner coming from the pack having shot an opening day 66 to take the victory with a wonderful 69 Nett for a total of 139. Neville Steedman was the gross winner of the event with 150 over the two days. Congratulations to Paul and all the prize winners on the day, special shout out to Malachy Travers who was just pipped to the victory by a single shot off a handicap of 1. Thanks for Captain Gerry for a great event, it was celebrated in style in the clubhouse following the presentation.
