Baters Removals has been providing a high quality dependable removal service to the East Devon area since 1950, when the present owner’s father, Ray Bater, started the business.
In those early years the main activity was as “a Carrier” of goods to the local businesses between Exeter and Sidmouth. By the time the present owner, Nick Bater, joined the firm in 1971, removals were the principle activity. Baters Removals is still a family run business, with David Bater, the third generation, joining the firm in 2007.
Over subsequent years Baters Removals has expanded to embrace both National & European destinations including a professional overseas shipping service. We have relocated many satisfied customers to all corners of the world.
In 1988 we opened our own purpose built container storage facility and began to introduce custom built removal vehicles to transport storage containers direct to the removal address for loading. Today, we operate a fleet of modern vehicles from transit vans for small jobs or restricted accesses to large removal trucks with heated sleeper pods for crew accommodation, suitable for large or long distance moves.
We aim to provide a professional moving and storage service tailored to each individual customer’s requirements. Our success in achieving this goal is borne out by the high percentage of recommendations and repeat business we receive.
