The participants for the Olympic golf tournament in Tokyo.
Qualification for the Olympics is based on the world rankings. The top 15 in the world rankings qualified, with a maximum of four golfers per nation. The remaining places in the 60-strong field were awarded to the top-ranked athletes whose nation did not yet have two golfers. Japan, as the host nation, was also guaranteed a starting spot. Furthermore, each continent (Africa, America, Asia, Europe and Oceania) received a quota place.
