3 affordable gadgets that will improve your golf experience

There are a lot of high-tech golf gadgets out there, and chances are any (half) decent golfer already has one or two in their bag- or has received them as presents from keen relatives.

But what you also learn is that a fair few of these are less than useful or just get in the way. Worse still, is when you spend a lot of cash on something that you don’t use and just takes up space.

I’ve put together a quick list of compact gadgets that are not necessarily for golfers but will no doubt improve your experience as your play. All of these products are available on amazon.co.uk for under £30. If you’re based outside the UK, be sure to check on your own country’s amazon site for potential price variations.

1. Teminice Fitness Tracker £27.99

A perfect little piece of tech that will keep you from looking at your phone while out on the fairway. Rather than describing what this watch can do, it may be better to ask what it can’t do. It’ll record steps, distance, calories burned, miles walked and much more. If you still want or need to stay connected out there- you can choose to receive notifications on this waterproof watch- and keep your expensive phone safe in your bag.

2. VicTsing Portable Bluetooth Speaker £21.99

There are two types of people out there- those who can’t focus without absolute silence, and those who need background noise to keep them sane. If you’re like me, the peace and quiet that a lot of people love about the golf course can get boring and even mind-numbing after a while.

You might not agree with that and if not, please feel free to skip straight to the next product. But for those of you who want to fill the silence with some music, a podcast or audiobook, this cool little speaker will also hook right on to your golf bag and provide you with the background noise. It's designed to be used in the shower so you don't even have to worry about rain getting to it!

3. Infray Rechargeable Handwarmers £25.99

Sometimes gloves just don’t cut it. We’ve all been there, in the cold rain, the wind begins to pick up, and you start to fantasise about a warm plate of chips at the clubhouse. That’s why having a handwarmer can make or break your mood (and your game). After all, you don’t want your hands to get stiff while you’re standing around waiting for everyone else to take their shots or walking between shots. What’s great about this is it stays hot for longer than the old, disposable hand warmers and it's better for the environment. A true no-brainer if you ask me.
