Bernhard Langer and his son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.

The 2025 PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, concluded with Team Kuchar taking the win ahead of Team Love and Team Daly. The family-team event, played in scramble format over two rounds, marked the season finale of the PGA Champions Tour. Among the notable participants were Bernhard Langer and his son Jason, who finished tied for seventh, and fan favorite John Daly with his son John II, who tied for second.

Team Kuchar dominates the field

Matt Kuchar, a 2016 Ryder Cup winner and multiple Presidents Cup champion, teamed up with his son Cameron to deliver a dominant performance. On Saturday, they posted a flawless round with 15 birdies. On Sunday, they followed up with 14 birdies and two eagles, finishing at 33-under-par to secure a convincing victory.

Trailing behind were Team Daly and Team Love, both finishing at 26-under-par. John Daly and his son impressed with back-to-back 59s, each featuring nine birdies and two eagles. Davis Love III, the 1997 PGA Champion, and his son Dru opened with a 60 and followed with a bogey-free round of 14 birdies on Sunday.

Nelly Korda shines in family format

LPGA star and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda was the only active female pro in the field. She played alongside her father Petr, and the duo tied for fourth with Team Stricker at 25-under-par. After an opening 60, they improved to a 59 on Sunday. Steven Stricker, former Ryder Cup captain, and his daughter Izzi matched their score.

Team Langer falls short of podium

Defending champions Bernhard Langer and his son Jason started strong with a bogey-free 61 (-11) and improved to a 60 (-12) on Sunday. Despite their solid play, their 23-under-par total placed them tied for seventh, missing out on a podium finish this year.
