The third day at the The Masters Tournament 2024 in Augusta has concluded, and an interesting Moving Day with many changes at the top of the leaderboard provided some highlights for the spectators.

The remaining 60 players after the cut once again struggled with the challenging conditions in Georgia. Only a few players were able to achieve under-par scores, with Scottie Scheffler leading the way, followed by Collin Morikawa, who had a good day, at the top of the leaderboard.

While the wind subsided somewhat on the third day in Augusta, it didn’t make it any easier for the players. Challenging pin positions required thoughtful and precise play, making birdies a rarity. However, despite or perhaps because of the demanding conditions, there were still some highlights in the third round.

The Masters Tournament

The US Masters 2024, taking place from April 11th to 15th, is set to thrill the hearts of many golf fans. In 2023, Jon Rahm triumphed at the Augusta National Golf Club, securing his second major title. The US Masters Tournament in Augusta is the first of the four annual major tournaments in professional golf. It always takes place in April and is held on the same golf course – the Augusta National in Georgia, USA. For professional players, the Masters in Augusta is a true prestige event and perhaps the most important of the four golf major titles. The winner of the US Masters Tournament receives a lifetime membership at the Augusta National Golf Club and, additionally, the iconic Green Jacket, which can be worn for one year before being returned to the Augusta National Golf Club for safekeeping. Furthermore, the tournament winner gets to take home a small trophy in the shape of the Augusta clubhouse and can look forward to the annual invitation to the Champions Dinner as well as a lifetime exemption.
