In one sentence: What are you particularly proud of at your golf club?

The Allgäu Golf and Country Club course was built in 1984 and was the largest in Bavaria at the time. Not in terms of area. But in addition to the 18 holes, a 6-hole short course was also built. And 24 holes were unique in Bavaria at the time. Since then, the club has grown steadily. Young and old play together under the motto "Playing golf with friends". We are proud of that!

... Golfers of all levels. With all the varied challenges for the experienced golfer, the fair course, embedded in the slightly hilly terrain, also offers beginners a good chance of a successful score.

Briefly describe your „Signature Hole“!

This is hole 17 in Ottobeuren, a 135 meter long par 3, which is quite spectacular to play. The tee shot is slightly above the fairway and leads through a small forest aisle, over a pond with a water fountain. Precision is required, as the space around the green is tight. There is a bunker on one side and a hedge behind it.

On the first tee, it is better to hit straight down the fairway and then attack the green with the second shot. Because playing directly over the group of trees at the dogleg can be dangerous.

What special offers (green fee bargains, discounted memberships, etc.) or courses does your golf club offer?

The driving range can be used free of charge, and there are also reciprocal green fee discounts among the participating golf courses (approx. 30) within the so-called Schwabenkreis. There is even a partnership with the Golfers Club Bad Überkingen, the Golf- und Countryclub Königsfeld and the Golfanlage Dresden Ullersdorf, which enables reciprocal green fee-free golfing seven days a week.
