Gold Coast Golf Course

Description

No, this course is not on Australia's Gold Coast, but in the harbor town of Dungarvan, County Waterford, which is about 65 km east of Cork and 40 km west of the city of Waterford. It is a beautiful and challenging parkland course bordering the Atlantic Ocean. Here you can enjoy breathtaking views of Dungarvan Bay and the Comeragh Mountains. All in all, the course is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. It was founded in 1939 and initially only had nine holes. However, it has since been extended to 18 holes and the tree-lined 'old' holes have been cleverly combined with the long and challenging new holes. Visitors are always welcome.
