Ribagolfe Lakes
Opened in April 2000, Aroeira Challenge (formerly known as Aroeira II) was designed by architect Donald Steel, who took care to meet the recommendations of the European Tour and create a course suitable for tournaments at the highest level.
With its 18 long greens bordering five large lakes and tees on every hole, the course can be played by all types of players.
The course has already hosted the Ladies European Tour Qualifying School and several editions of the Portuguese Ladies Opens.
Ribagolfe Oaks
Ribagolfe Oaks (formerly Ribagolfe II) is shorter than Ribagolfe Lakes, but still measures more than 6,800 yards and was designed by former Ryder Cup player Michael King in collaboration with European Tour Design.
Blessed with the same native cork oak wood, King has created a forgiving but equally appealing golf course with wider fairways and landing zones. However, the huge, moderately contoured greens present a tough test if you want to get a good score here.
Both Ribagolfe courses are set in a cork oak forest, and the design takes advantage of the sweeping undulations of the terrain to provide many spectacular golf holes over valleys and lakes.
You can be sure that you will be surrounded by nothing but nature.
