A huge congratulations to the four players who prevailed yesterday in Final Qualifying for @theopen.
Local amateur from @rlgchoylake - Matthew Dodd-Berry - managed a pair of 69s to finish tied for the win, following in the footsteps of Matthew Jordan who qualified here last year and went on to finish T-10 across the Mersey.
Tied in first place (also with a pair of 69s) is @samhorsfield96 who will make his ninth career major appearance at Troon later this month.
DP World Tour player Daniel Brown from @romanbygolf shot the lowest round of the day, a near faultless afternoon 68 with only one bogey to make his way to -5, tied for 3rd.
The fourth qualification spot was secured by Kawamura Masahiro fro Japan, who put a missed cut in Italy last week firmly behind him to ensure he will be in Ayrshire for the 152nd Open Championship.
